1. Your privacy and your choices
This policy explains how BioMIR handles information in the app, on this website and through optional data-sharing programs. You can use the app without sharing your health records with BioMIR. Participation in a data-sharing program is voluntary and requires a separate opt-in.
Apple Health permission lets the app read the records you authorize. It does not authorize sharing with BioMIR for product improvement or research. Each optional program explains its purpose, eligible data, privacy risks and withdrawal process before you decide.
2. Information used on your device
With your permission, BioMIR reads supported Apple Health measurements and clinical records. It also uses profile details, including age and sex where needed, and information you enter in the app. These records support your metrics, trends and explanations. Available results depend on your permissions and the information available.
App history is stored locally. Core health calculations do not require sending your records to BioMIR. Demo records are synthetic and are excluded from the optional program export. You can change Apple Health permissions in system settings; withdrawing program consent does not change your Apple Health records.
3. Optional sharing with BioMIR
Research Consent and program exports are unavailable in this release. The Settings review control shows that no program is active; it does not grant consent, create a program export or enroll you in research. Apple Health authorization permits local app access only.
A future program would require separately reviewed purpose, data selection, receiving arrangements, privacy risks, withdrawal terms and fresh affirmative consent before activation. Earlier policy descriptions do not authorize current sharing or new uses. No automatic program upload is available.
4. Export privacy: what is removed and retained
The release does not offer the program export described in earlier policy versions. Future export privacy must be disclosed for the actual schema and purpose before consent. Removing direct identifiers does not guarantee anonymity: exact age and detailed longitudinal health patterns can permit linkage or identification.
If you independently save or share files through another service, its account/sender details may reveal your identity. Do not send participant health records to ordinary support or research email.
5. Recipients and safeguards
No active in-app program accepts or automatically uploads your health records to BioMIR. Contact research@biomir.co with a general inquiry to discuss any future eligible program and secure receiving arrangements; an inquiry is not enrollment.
Independent copies you save or share through another service are outside the app’s control and subject to that destination’s safeguards.
6. Retention, withdrawal and deletion
No new program export or enrollment is authorized by this release. If you previously shared records under an earlier separately agreed program, its applicable consent, withdrawal and retention terms remain in force; disabling the app feature does not retroactively expand those permissions.
For previously accepted program records, contact research@biomir.co to request withdrawal or deletion. Keep the dataset code if one was supplied. BioMIR must identify the applicable program and records before confirming disposition; withdrawal cannot retrieve copies held independently by destinations you chose.
For website protocol requests and support correspondence, only contact/request information is needed. Request access, correction or deletion at contact@biomir.co. Distribution metadata can be needed to identify which document/version was supplied and notify recipients of corrections; a specific retention/legal obligation must be explained rather than implied to be universal. No participant health records are required.
7. Website and other services
This website stores your light or dark theme choice in browser local storage. Wix provides the website hosting. Hosting services may process IP addresses and technical request logs to deliver and secure the website. This privacy page does not accept health-record submissions.
Apple processes App Store purchases under its own policies. External websites, email services and services you choose for sharing have their own privacy practices. Sharing through those services may disclose information separately from the exported file.
Protocol-request forms collect your name, email, optional affiliation/role/purpose and request/distribution identifiers, dates, document version and delivery/review status. Wix-hosted services and the configured delivery service process these requests to provide a document or review approval-gated access. A validation-protocol request returns a temporary link; an agentic-AI request requires separate approval. Neither is research consent.
Do not enter health or participant records in these forms. Contact contact@biomir.co for request-data access or deletion. Operational verification of delivery, expiry and distribution logging is separate from the form’s explanatory text.
8. Questions and privacy requests
Contact research@biomir.co for program participation, transfer arrangements, withdrawal or deletion of program records. Contact contact@biomir.co for general support and other privacy questions. Avoid including health records in an initial email. Correspondence itself reveals the sender’s address and message contents.
You may request access, correction or deletion of information held by BioMIR, or raise a privacy concern using these contacts. Additional rights and complaint routes depend on your location and applicable law. A separate program must disclose its eligibility requirements and any provisions for minors; this policy does not authorize a minor’s participation.
9. Policy versions and changes
The public policy address is https://www.biomir.co/privacy. Prior versions remain available in the policy history. The version and date identify this text; a draft preparation date is not an effective date.
Changes to a program’s purpose, data categories or recipients require updated disclosure and consent where applicable. A general policy update does not expand permission you previously gave. Program-specific consent remains separate from this policy.
10. Optional action reminders
Reminder preferences, scheduling reservations and explicit action responses remain on the device. No reminder research telemetry or new automatic data upload is introduced. Private previews are on by default; turning them off can expose the selected action on the system notification interface or lock screen.
Notification permission does not enroll you in research. Reminder state is not synchronized across devices; choose one preferred device to avoid duplicates. Delivery depends on operating-system permissions, Focus and scheduling.
